CdM Todotua Target in Aichi-Nagoya exceeded with 39 medals

Indonesian Team Chef de Mission (CdM) Todotua Pasaribu said the Red and White contingent succeeded in exceeding the medal target set by the Ministry of Youth and Sports  at the 2026 Aichi-Nagoya Asian Games.

Indonesia ended its Asian Games campaign with 39 medals, including five gold, 11 silver, and 23 bronze, surpassing the target of four gold medals set by the Ministry of Youth and Sports.

"Alhamdulillah, praise be to God. As of today's final, we learned that the Indonesian team has won a total of 39 medals, consisting of 5 gold, 11 silver, and 23 bronze. This is certainly the best achievement," Todotua said.

This achievement placed Indonesia in 16th place in the final standings of the Aichi-Nagoya Asian Games. This position is indeed down from the 2022 Hangzhou Asian Games, when Indonesia finished 12th with seven gold medals, 11 silver medals, and 18 bronze medals.
However, Todotua believes that the achievements in Aichi-Nagoya are still worthy of appreciation because several events that previously provided Indonesia with gold medals were not contested at this year's Asian Games.
