Hearing Daiki's happy memories

The 2026 Aichi-Nagoya Asian Games, which will take place from September 19 to October 4, will carry the slogan " IMAGINE ONE ASIA. Koko de, Hitotsu ni." The second sentence, translated into Indonesian, means "Here, become one."

This slogan represents the implementation of the Asian Games which brings together and blends various countries, cultures, and spirits in the agenda of the biggest sporting competition in Asia.

Many interesting and unique things can be found during the Asian Games, from the tangible to stories that can only be told through spoken words. These stories come from people directly involved in organizing the 2026 Asian Games.

One of them is Nishida Daiki. The 19-year-old is part of the crowd that enlivened the 2026 Aichi-Nagoya Asian Games.

Daiki came to Nagoya as a freelance journalist for the Japanese Kyodo News Agency . He came not as a citizen of Nagoya City or Aichi Prefecture.

Daiki lives in Osaka, one of Japan's most famous tourist cities. However, during his semester break, he decided to join Kyodo .

The decision he made coincided with the implementation of the 2026 Asian Games in Nagoya.

Thanks to his experience living in Indonesia and his ability to understand Indonesian, Daiki was given a special assignment to oversee the journey of a number of the Red and White Contingent's flagship sports branches.

Once the Asian Games are over, Daiki will return to Osaka to continue his studies. His vacation will end with the conclusion of the Games.
