Brazilian star Neymar saved his team Santos from defeat against Flamengo, after scoring two goals in 6 minutes, leading his team to a 2-2 draw in the 29th round of the Brazilian league.
Flamengo took a two-goal lead through Danilo and Lucas Paqueta, before Neymar came on as a substitute in the second half and turned the tide in the final minutes.
In the 82nd minute, Neymar scored a penalty to reduce the deficit, before returning in the 88th minute to score the equalizer from a second penalty kick, giving Santos a valuable point after being down by two goals.
With this result, Santos raised its tally to 42 points, dropping to eighth place in the standings, while Flamengo maintained its lead with 61 points, despite stumbling in the match.
Neymar is the all-time top scorer for the Brazilian national team, having scored 80 goals in 130 international matches, in addition to 59 assists.
The Brazilian star began his career with Santos, before moving to Barcelona in 2013, then Paris Saint-Germain in 2017, and having an experience with Al-Hilal of Saudi Arabia, before returning to his former club Santos in 2025.
