Indonesia lost 1-5 to France in the U15 World Cup

The Indonesian U15 national team lost 1-5 to France in the semifinal match of the Tier C runner-up of the 2026 FIFA U15 World Cup & Festival at the Hovsan Competition Complex, Baku.

Indonesia fielded Vano Abimanyu as goalkeeper, while its seven outfield players were captain I Kadek Dwi, Muhammad Fayyad, Jamaeel Ryuzain, Decho Alfian, Dicky Cartensz, Reganatha Harfi, and Rendra Maulana.

Indonesia played well in the early stages, but two quick goals in a matter of minutes ruined their chances. France took the lead in the ninth minute, then doubled their lead shortly after.

As Indonesia attempted to respond, a mistake from the right side of the defense in the 14th minute resulted in France's third goal. That goal ended the first half with a three-goal lead for France.

France then added another goal just two minutes into the second half from a one-two touch pass.
