Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi stated that the dynamics in the Middle East region, including the management of the Strait of Hormuz, will never be the same again following the armed conflict with the United States and Israel.

"The current war has changed everything. We must recognize that new realities have emerged," Araghchi said in a speech at Iran's Foreign Ministry.
"Shipping routes through the Strait of Hormuz will no longer be the same as before, and the way the strait is managed will not be the same as in the past," he added.
On that occasion, Araghchi also emphasized that Tehran would welcome "any security plan originating from the region itself."
Tehran and Washington have been at odds over control of the strategic waterway since the Iran-US-Israel war erupted in February.
While Tehran insists on maintaining its authority over shipping traffic in the strait, Washington demands the implementation of unrestricted freedom of navigation.
Previously, the two countries had signed a temporary agreement in June to defuse the conflict.
