KDM explains his absence and being sought by Prabowo at the TPAKD National Coordination Meeting

West Java Governor Dedi Mulyadi  confirmed his absence when greeted by President Prabowo Subianto at the National Coordination Meeting of the Regional Financial Access Acceleration Team.

Dedi explained that the decision to be in the field was a priority directive recommended by Minister of State Secretary Prasetyo Hadi, and had been officially reported to Cabinet Secretary Teddy Indra Wijaya.

Previously, during a briefing at  President Prabowo had the opportunity to inquire about the whereabouts of the number one person in the West Java Provincial Government in front of the regional heads present.

"Where's KDM? The closest one isn't even here. He must be busy," said President Prabowo while greeting participants of the TPAKD National Coordination Meeting.

Regarding the latest handling of Mount Ciremai forest and land fires in the field, Dedi revealed that the flames in the highest mountain area in West Java have now been successfully isolated so that they do not spread to the surrounding areas.

"Today, helicopters will descend from Bogor, one to Kertajati, and two to Sukani Majalengka Airport. From there, the helicopters will use water bombing to control the fire to extinguish it and prevent it from spreading further," said Dedi.

In addition to the air force, 1,000 joint personnel from the Indonesian National Armed Forces (TNI), the Indonesian National Police (Polri), and community volunteers were deployed to optimize the natural barriers and canals on the mountain slopes.
