Newspaper reports were published and special programs were filmed about it.

However, there is a model that has hardly appeared in front of the cameras, namely the BMO-T flamethrower combat vehicle, or armored flamethrower, built on the platform of the T-72B main battle tank.

Its engine generates 840 horsepower, and it has a top speed of 60 kilometers per hour on highways, with a range exceeding 700 kilometers on fuel. The armored vehicle carries 30 single-use Shmel rocket flamethrowers. It is also equipped with a NEVT heavy machine gun designed to engage both ground and air targets.

Experts consider the BMO-T to be a heavy armored personnel carrier, equipped with integrated reactive armor on its front and sides. It has a crew of two, while the troop compartment can accommodate seven additional soldiers. According to information from the "Russian Weapons" media project of Rossiyskaya Gazeta newspaper, this vehicle has demonstrated very good performance in combat.

A patent has recently emerged that includes information about an update to this model of equipment.

Specifically, the manually operated machine gun was replaced with a small, remotely controlled, two-tiered turret equipped with television and thermal imaging channels, greatly enhancing the vehicle's nighttime combat capabilities. The vehicle also received a new commander's turret, side armor, and more advanced tracks.

This model was recently showcased during the "Center-2026" strategic command and staff exercises at the "Chebarkul" training ground, where the upgraded vehicle participated in penetrating the defenses of the hypothetical enemy.
