Three Palestinians killed in Israeli attacks on the Gaza Strip

Three Palestinians were killed and others were injured on Tuesday as a result of Israeli attacks targeting various areas in the Gaza Strip.
In the latest attacks, the Palestinian Red Crescent Society announced in a preliminary statement the death of one Palestinian and the injury of another as a result of an Israeli attack near the Musab Bin Omair Mosque in the Tel Al-Hawa neighborhood, southwest of Gaza City.
However, the association later revised its casualty figures, stating that its ambulance crews transported one injured person to Hospital and another in critical condition to Al-Shifa Hospital. Thus, according to the association's latest update, the attack did not result in any fatalities.

In the central Gaza Strip, a medical source said that 17-year-old Hassan Rayyan Jamil Abu Mansi was killed by Israeli army gunfire to the head while he was east of the Maghazi refugee camp, while another Palestinian was wounded.

Earlier on Tuesday, a medical source said that the young man, Muhammad Mohsen Al-Yazji (34 years old), was killed and others were injured as a result of an Israeli raid that targeted civilians in “Aida Street” west of Gaza City.

The source explained that the injured were transferred to receive treatment, without immediate details being available regarding their number or the nature of their injuries.

Medical sources also reported the death of the young man, Mutasim Salah, and the injury of another, as a result of an Israeli drone strike on passersby near the “Municipal Park” on Omar Al-Mukhtar Street in the center of Gaza City.
the Israeli army carried out two bombing operations at dawn within its deployment areas east of Gaza City, during which Palestinian homes and buildings were blown up.

Israeli gunboats also opened fire with machine guns and shells towards fishing boats off the coast of Gaza City.

In the southern Gaza Strip, medical sources reported that Ibrahim Muhammad Allam, 34, died from wounds he sustained in an Israeli bombing that targeted civilians near the Tayba Towers in the center of Khan Yunis city on Monday.
A displaced person was injured inside his tent in the Al-Mawasi area of Rafah city by a gunshot, after Israeli military vehicles opened fire towards the tents of displaced people in the area, according to sources, while Israeli helicopters fired on the eastern towns of the city.

In the central Gaza Strip, a girl was moderately wounded when the Israeli army opened fire on homes east of the Bureij refugee camp, according to sources.

In the northern Gaza Strip, a citizen was wounded when the occupation forces targeted the Al-Karama neighborhood with heavy gunfire, while the eastern and northeastern areas of the city, specifically the Al-Shuja’iya and Al-Tuffah neighborhoods, were subjected to intermittent gunfire and artillery shelling, and explosions were heard resulting from the demolition of buildings in those areas.

Winter crisis

the Norwegian Refugee Council warned, a year after the ceasefire agreement in Gaza, that continued Israeli restrictions and a lack of funding will force 1.65 million people in Gaza to spend a fourth winter in dilapidated tents and war-damaged buildings.

the council noted that Israeli authorities are currently allowing only 15 trucks per week from Jordan to enter Gaza carrying materials they classify as “dual-use” across all humanitarian sectors. These materials, which include tents and blankets, are only permitted to be unloaded one day a week at the Kerem Abu Salem crossing, the only crossing open for aid.

The Council statement quoted Secretary-General Jan Egeland as saying that nearly 300,000 families need shelter assistance this winter. He said: “However, donors have provided or pledged only 34% of the $283 million needed to provide the minimum level of shelter assistance this winter, leaving a shortfall of $186.6 million.”

Egeland noted that the stocks and materials currently available are only sufficient to provide partial assistance in the area of shelter and household supplies for about 52,000 families, stressing that the Israeli authorities continue to prevent the arrival of materials needed to carry out repairs and build more durable shelters.

He stressed that the severe shortage of heavy machinery, engine oil and fuel is hindering efforts to prevent flooding in displacement sites, where the number of people living in sites at moderate or high risk of flooding is estimated at about 950,000.
