In the one-hour-and-16-minute match, Rybakina dominated, breaking Fernandez's serve twice in each set. The Kazakh also held her service games without dropping a single point throughout the match.

"I'm very happy, and Ningbo has become a special place for me. Last year, I started playing really well from this tournament and it's continued. Hopefully, this win will give me motivation and positive energy to continue this season and start the next one," Rybakina said.

She believes her performance has steadily improved in each match throughout the week. Rybakina hopes to maintain this form in the next tournament.

The Ningbo title marked Rybakina's fourth trophy of the 2026 season, the most by a woman this season. Her previous three titles came at the Australian Open, Stuttgart Open, and US Open.
