"So, the ministries, agencies, or institutions developing AI will be distributed sector-wise. Each sector will create its own guidelines," he said after attending a plenary session at the Nusantara II Building, Parliament Complex.
Nezar cited the health, education, and financial services sectors as examples, requiring specific guidelines for the use and regulation of AI innovation.
Relevant ministries and government agencies will prepare regulations for AI utilization and innovation in each sector, referring to regulations on the National AI Roadmap.
The government is still discussing the draft Presidential Regulation on the National Roadmap for Artificial Intelligence with relevant ministries and institutions.
"It's currently being discussed between ministries, because we also see that the scope is broad," said Nezar.
