The Arab Football Federation has officially announced the relaunch of the Arab Club Championship and its reinstatement in its registered competition schedule, deciding to hold it on a regular basis once every two years.

The Arab Union adopted the official tournament agenda extending from 2026 to 2029, which saw the confirmation of the date of the next anticipated edition to be held during the period from July 21 to August 7, 2027, with the following edition to be held in the summer of 2029.

Over the next few weeks, the organizing committees within the Arab Union will be putting the final touches on the tournament in preparation for the official announcement of all logistical and technical details, most notably the organizational structure of the competition, the mechanism for qualifying local clubs and the number of participating teams, as well as revealing the name of the country that will win the right to host the 2027 edition finals.

The Arab Union revealed that 7 tournaments will be held during the 2026-2027 season.

The tournaments announced by the Arab Federation are as follows :

- Arab Beach Soccer Cup, November 1-11, 2026.

- Arab Cup for Under-17 National Teams, 1-17 April 2027.

- Arab Cup for Under-17 Women's National Teams, April 28 to May 14, 2027.

- Arab Club Cup (Arab Club Championship), July 21 to August 8, 2027.

- Arab Women's Cup, from September 2nd to 18th, 2027.

- Arab Futsal Cup, football, September 26 to October 6, 2027.

- Arab Beach Soccer Cup, November 6-16, 2027.

The Arab Club Championship is one of the most prominent regional club tournaments, and throughout its history it has witnessed the participation of elite Arab teams amid great public interest throughout the Arab world.

It is worth noting that the last champion of the Arab Clubs Football Championship (King Salman Cup for Club Champions) was Al-Nassr Saudi Club, which won its first and only title in the history of the competition at the expense of its traditional rival Al-Hilal on August 12, 2023.
