The Palestinian Ministry of Education and Higher Education announced that 20,748 students and 1,058 educational and administrative staff members in the Gaza Strip and the West Bank were killed during three years of the Israeli war of extermination.

The ministry said in a statistical report on violations committed by Israeli forces against the education sector that the toll includes students and staff in schools and universities, in addition to thousands of wounded and detained, as well as the destruction and targeting of dozens of educational institutions.
In the Gaza Strip, the ministry reported that 19,189 school students and 1,386 university students were killed, while 28,586 school students and 3,082 university students sustained varying injuries.
805 educational and administrative staff in schools and 246 in universities were killed, in addition to 3298 educational and administrative staff in schools and 1493 in universities being injured.
In the West Bank, 134 school students and 39 university students were killed, and 871 school students and 283 university students were injured, while Israeli forces arrested 416 students from schools and 481 from universities, according to the ministry's report.
Seven educational and administrative staff members in schools were killed and 26 others were injured, while Israeli forces arrested more than 176 teachers and school staff and 21 university employees.
