The match witnessed a pivotal and brilliant moment, with the Moroccan international Abdel Samad Zalzouli as the hero, who opened the scoring for the home team at the beginning of the second half, specifically in the 47th minute.
The Moroccan winger's goal came in an exceptional way, with a perfectly executed, curved shot from a very difficult angle, leaving no chance for the Portuguese goalkeeper, Diogo Costa.
Betis' lead did not last long, as Porto exploited defensive gaps to turn the tables with two consecutive goals scored by Gabriel Veiga and Samuel Omorodion in the 55th and 61st minutes.
But Zalzouli’s teammates showed a solid character in the last third of the match, as Juan Hernandez managed to equalize for Betis in the 74th minute, before the veteran Isco sealed the football epic with the “killer” winning goal from a penalty kick that he successfully executed in the 84th minute.
With this win, Real Betis raised its tally to 6 points with a perfect score to occupy ninth place, while Porto remained without any points in 30th place.
