Suella Braverman justified the deportation of migrants who arrived illegally to Rwanda  Visiting Rwanda, British Interior Minister Suella Braverman on Saturday justified the highly controversial plan to deport migrants who arrived illegally in the United Kingdom to this country.  This is the first official visit to Kigali by a member of the British government since the election of the conservative Rishi Sunak last October.  The opportunity for the Rwandan Minister of Foreign Affairs, Vincent Biruta, to reiterate his commitment to the United Kingdom:  " Our goal is to find innovative solutions to provide asylum seekers and migrants with security and the opportunity to lead a decent life." We are aware that this is indeed a novel approach and we ensure that it is implemented correctly. Furthermore, we hope that other countries will join the project once they see that this solution is effective .”  The British government concluded this agreement with Kigali a year ago providing for deportations to Rwanda.    While many human rights organizations denounce this project, Braverman prefers to speak of an initiative with a humanitarian vocation:   “ We saw people die in the English Channel towards the end of last year trying in vain to reach the UK. So the best thing to do, on a humanitarian level, is to find new solutions "That's why I think, as the minister just said, there is a real opportunity to resettle these migrants in safe and secure environments, where they can live prosperous and healthy lives. "  On Saturday, thousands of people demonstrated in several cities in the United Kingdom, such as London, Glasgow and Cardiff, against the desire of the Conservatives to toughen legislation against illegal immigration.
