Google unveils a new phone enhanced with artificial intelligence technology

Google unveiled its new group of Pixel smartphones, which includes a professional phone enhanced with generative artificial intelligence technology.

Google announced on Wednesday its new group of “Pixel” smartphones, which includes a professional phone enhanced with generative artificial intelligence technology, which it called “Pixel 8 Pro.”

During a marketing event in New York, Group Vice President of Devices and Services Rick Osterloh said that the phone represents a “major achievement,” adding: “The Pixel 8 Pro will be the first smartphone equipped with an artificial intelligence system dedicated to photos.”

The Pixel 8 Pro phone, which features a powerful chip, can implement some artificial intelligence functions on the device itself, instead of processing data remotely via servers, a process that requires a lot of bandwidth.

This technology will improve the tools already on the phone, such as editing photos, but it is intended to perform other functions.

Major technology companies, most notably Google and Microsoft, are racing to be at the forefront of publishing tools that will save people time.

The Pixel phones will test features from Bard, Google's artificial intelligence chatbot, a competitor to OpenAI's GPT Chat.

The company "OpenAI" recently announced that it had introduced an update to its artificial intelligence program, "Chat GPT", that will make it able to interact with users in audio and video.

Soon the program will be able to respond to any request linked to an image, in addition to chatting verbally with its users.

Monica Gupta, Vice President of Google, said that this achievement is “a step closer to our goal of creating the most useful automated personal assistant in the world.”

“It combines personal assistance with the ability to think and create content,” she continued, adding: “He can hear, speak and see, and he can also perform tasks that help the user directly on his device.”

Similar to what other companies have confirmed, Google indicated that a large number of new artificial intelligence features are in an initial stage and will be gradually improved.

The American group, which is based in California, intends to provide the “Pixel 8 Pro” phone with a sensor to measure body temperature, pending approval from the American authorities.

Apple issues an update to its operating system to solve the iPhone 15 overheating problem

New York : On Wednesday, Apple issued an update to its operating system (iOS 17) to solve the overheating problem related to its latest phone, the iPhone 15.

The series, which has a titanium body, was launched last month with its advanced A17 chip in the Pro and Pro Max phones, making it suitable for the latest video games.

Shortly after the launch of the iPhone 15 versions, users complained that the battery operating period was short and that its temperature was very high.

An Apple spokesman said on Wednesday that the latest update to the iOS 17 operating system includes “important fixes for defects, security updates, and addressing an issue that may cause the iPhone’s temperature to rise more than expected.”

After receiving complaints that the temperature of new phones was very high, Apple stated this week that this problem may appear in the first few days “after setting up or resetting the device due to increased application activity in the background.”

The company reported that recent updates to some third-party applications, such as Meta's Instagram and the Uber application, slow down the system, adding that the Pro versions do not have the problem of excessively high temperatures due to the design, as the new titanium structure contributes to improving heat dissipation.
