Hebrew media confirms Israel received an Egyptian proposal regarding the Gaza agreement, and Netanyahu claims to be working on a "new deal

a private Israeli news channel, reported that the Egyptian proposal includes the return of eight living Israeli prisoners, including Israeli-American soldier Idan Alexander, in addition to the bodies of eight prisoners, in exchange for a 50-day ceasefire.

The proposal also includes, according to the channel, "reopening the Netzarim axis, the return of Gaza residents, the entry of humanitarian aid, and discussions on the second phase, with guarantees from mediators."

The channel indicated that "the discussion revolves around an attempt to mediate between Hamas's position, which agreed to release five abductees, and the Israeli demand to release 11 abductees."

The channel continued: "Israel refuses to discuss the Egyptian proposal because of the clause requiring discussion of an end to the war, which Israel strongly opposes. So far, Israel has enjoyed American support for its opposition, and the parties hope that the Trump-Netanyahu meeting at the White House will help put pressure on Israel."
