"To discuss the implementation of the Riyadh outcomes," Fidan announces a Turkish-American-Syrian meeting on Thursday in Antalya.

In a televised statement, Fidan said that the meeting will focus on working on how to move forward with the details of what the leaders agreed upon during the quadrilateral meeting in Riyadh between the United States, Saudi Arabia, Turkey, and Syria.

In response to a question about US President Donald Trump's announcement to lift sanctions on Syria, Fidan said Turkey has a vision for efforts to resolve the Syrian issue, adding, "This vision requires the participation of all regional parties, not just Turkey, in resolving the Syrian issue, and the Europeans and Americans must also play a positive role in this regard."

Fidan expressed his hope for increased investments in Syria soon once sanctions are officially lifted. He noted that many countries, particularly Saudi Arabia, play a positive role in the region, and that Turkey is working in coordination with these countries.

He added that Syrian President Ahmad al-Shara'a and Foreign Minister Asaad Hassan al-Shaibani are leading an intensive diplomatic effort that is being positively received around the world.

Fidan explained that the quadripartite meeting hosted by Riyadh today, between Türkiye, the United States, Saudi Arabia, and Syria, was positive, describing it as "historic."

The Turkish Foreign Minister also stressed the importance of lifting the sanctions imposed under the ousted regime to ensure the return of the Syrian people to their country and revive the economy.

He said that Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan discussed concerns about the war in the Gaza Strip and joint efforts to improve the situation in Syria during his phone conversation with President Trump.

He noted that Trump responded positively to President Erdogan's request, adding, "It's important to appreciate the constructive role Turkey has played in Syria. Indeed, it's a matter of trust, and at the same time, it's a responsibility placed on us by the international community."

Earlier on Wednesday, White House spokeswoman Caroline Levitt addressed the quadrilateral meeting in Riyadh between US President Donald Trump, his Syrian counterpart Ahmed al-Sharaa, and Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, which was joined remotely by Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan.

In a post on the X platform, Levitt said, "President Erdogan commended President Trump for lifting sanctions on Syria and committed to working alongside Saudi Arabia to promote peace and prosperity in Syria."

The White House spokeswoman explained that the Saudi Crown Prince "praised President Trump for his decision to lift the sanctions, describing him as courageous."

She noted that the US President "thanked President Erdogan and the Crown Prince for their friendship, and told President Sharaa that he had a tremendous opportunity to do something historic for his country."

On Tuesday, Trump said in a speech at the Saudi-US Investment Forum in Riyadh that the sanctions are "cruel and crippling, and it's time for Syria to rise up." He added, "I have decided to lift the sanctions on Syria to give them a chance to grow and develop."

The new Syrian administration is looking for international and regional support to help it address the repercussions of ousted President Bashar al-Assad's 24-year rule (2000-2024).

The United States and the European Union have partially eased their sanctions on specific Syrian sectors, amid hopes of a full lifting to achieve development in the country.

In December 2024, Syrian factions completed their control of the country, ending 61 years of bloody Baath Party rule, including 53 years of Assad family rule .
