A statement posted on the Assange Support Committee's X account on Tuesday explained that Julian is participating in the Cannes Film Festival in France to screen the documentary "The Six Million Dollar Man," about Assange.

The statement noted that Assange participated in the festival wearing a T-shirt bearing the names of 4,986 children under the age of five killed by Israel in Gaza since October 7, 2023. It noted that the other side of the T-shirt bore the phrase "Stand with Israel."

The 78th edition of the festival kicked off on May 13 and will continue until May 24.

With American support, Israel has been committing genocide in Gaza since October 7, 2023, leaving more than 175,000 Palestinians dead and wounded, most of them children and women, and more than 11,000 missing, in addition to hundreds of thousands displaced.
