The youngest son of the 7th President of the Republic of Indonesia Joko Widodo, Kaesang Pangarep, said that many important figures would join the Indonesian Solidarity Party if he was re-elected as the general chairman of the party with the rose symbol.
In a press conference after officially registering as a candidate for PSI general chairman in the 2025 PSI General Election, he said that this was his political promise to PSI cadres, who would later elect him as general chairman.
"There is not just one big figure, but God willing, it will be very, very big, many figures will join PSI," said Kaesang.
Therefore, he invited the cadres to prepare to wait for the arrival of the great figures who would join the PSI.
On the other hand, he is optimistic that PSI will pass into parliament in the 2029 General Election.
"Let's increase the number of regional heads from PSI cadres," he said to PSI cadres.
Meanwhile, Kaesang officially registered as a candidate for general chairman (caketum) in the 2025 Indonesian Solidarity Party (PSI) General Election, in Jakarta, Saturday.
Kaesang has currently submitted a leave of absence as PSI General Chairperson to focus on the 2025 PSI General Election process.
The 2025 PSI General Election will be held ahead of the PSI National Congress in July 2025. Previously, PSI conducted verification of all its cadres who will be included in the permanent voter list (DPT) for the 2025 PSI General Election, which will also be an event to elect the PSI General Chairperson.
