KPK optimistic Singapore will approve Paulus Tannos' extradition request

The Corruption Eradication Commission said it is optimistic that the Singaporean government will approve the extradition request for the fugitive in the alleged corruption case of the procurement of electronic identity cards (KTP-el), Paulus Tannos.

"Everyone is still optimistic that this first extradition can hopefully be realized and realized, so that later it can become a lesson," said KPK Chairman Setyo Budiyanto at the KPK Anti-Corruption Education Center Building.

Setyo further explained that this optimism was because the Indonesian Government, including the Corruption Eradication Committee, had fulfilled the Singapore Government's request in the extradition process of Paulus Tannos.

"Whatever the Singaporean Government needs, be it documents, letters, we submit everything. If it's lacking, we add it. If it's still needed, we complete it," he explained.

Therefore, he said that if Paulus Tannos' extradition is successful, it could be an example for other fugitives in other cases.
