Mexicali, February 3.- The United States ambassador to Mexico, Ken Salazar, visited the offices of the National Migration Institute (INM) on the Mexicali-Calexico border, where he discussed issues of global warming, the migration crisis, and infrastructure.
The ambassador previously met with officials from the International Boundary and Water Commission (IBWC), with whom he discussed the issue of the Colorado River, which will affect seven states due to the drought.
He said that, despite the snowfall, a "tough summer" is expected in terms of water supply.
He explained that joint action with Mexico is necessary to resolve the problem, and they will be addressing the issue in a series of meetings.
