Mexicali, August 8. The State Congress called on family organizations, human rights defenders, organized groups of victims, and experts in the matters referred to in the Law on Disappearances and the Search for Persons for the State of Baja California to participate in the formation of the State Citizen Council of the Local Search Commission.
Participation consists of submitting proposals to the State Congress, located in the Mexicali Civic Center, between August 8 and September 4. These proposals will then be forwarded to the Committee on Government, Legislation, and Constitutional Affairs.
In a press release, the State Congress reported that the proposed candidates will be notified by email to appear at the State Congress's official office between September 5 and 19, 2025, with the corresponding documentation.
According to the information, if the minimum number of applicants is not met or the established requirements are not met, the deadline will be extended from September 20 to October 29, 2025.
