Tijuana, February 23. Repair work on two water leaks in the Florido-Aguaje aqueduct, scheduled by the Tijuana State Public Services Commission (CESPT) for this week, has been postponed and has not yet been scheduled to begin.
On January 19, 2023, the director of the Tijuana State Public Services Commission (CESPT), Víctor Daniel Amador Barragán, announced that the state-owned company would suspend the water supply for the aqueduct rehabilitation works.
The work consisted of repairing five water leaks along the aqueduct; the initial work was carried out between January 23 and 25, 2023, repairing three leaks (in Hacienda las Fuentes and in the El Florido II section).
According to Water Secretary José Armando Fernández Samaniego, repair work on the aqueduct in the El Refugio area and the Pacific Industrial Park will begin on February 23.
