Governor meets with mayors to strengthen security strategies

Tijuana, April 4. Governor Marina del Pilar Avila Olmeda led the "Meeting with Municipal Presidents for Peacebuilding."

Accompanied by the federal Undersecretary for Peacebuilding, Social Participation, and Religious Affairs, Rocío Bárcena Molina, the president explained that the objective of the meeting is to strengthen coordination to address the causes of crime .

"In the strategy implemented by our President Claudia Sheinbaum Pardo, we reiterate that we are fully committed in Baja California to joining this national project to combat violence by promoting peace," he stated.

Bárcena Molina praised the collaboration of the mayors, since they are the ones who receive firsthand the needs of the citizens.

For their part, the municipal leaders reaffirmed their commitment to addressing the root causes of violence, with the goal of improving the quality of life in their communities.

Prior to the meeting with the mayors, Avila Olmeda chaired the "Peacebuilding Roundtable," which monitored the actions carried out between March 31 and April 4.
