Tijuana, July 22.- Marco Aurelio Gámez Servín, head of the State Commission for the Protection against Sanitary Risks (Coepris), confirmed that since he took office, 11 employees have been fired for suspected corruption. Among those named is the former commissioner, David Gutiérrez Inzunza.
The above was stated by the state official at the end of his participation in the Early Risers Group session on the morning of Thursday, July 22.
"There is no longer a single person charged within the department. All of these cases are pending and belong to judicial proceedings, which are matters of a legal nature. I can no longer address these issues because they are under investigation. There are more than three investigation files and more than 11 people involved," Gámez Servín stated.
He explained that all the individuals mentioned have been removed from their positions, and in some cases, their contracts have been terminated, regardless of whether they were unionized, because they were reported by a third party. In these cases, the State Attorney General's Office (FGE) is responsible for following up on the matter.
