Sailors rescue two crew members from a capsized sailboat off Ensenada.

Tijuana, July 5.- Personnel from the Ministry of the Navy (Semar) rescued the two crew members of a recreational sailboat that capsized 2 nautical miles (about 3.2 kilometers) southeast of El Sauzal, Baja California.

The vessel, named "Honey Bee," departed the port of Ensenada last Sunday for a few hours' outing. However, when it didn't return on schedule, assistance was requested from the Naval Search, Rescue, and Maritime Surveillance Station.

A Panther helicopter and a Defender-class speedboat were dispatched for the rescue operation, where they located the overturned vessel and its crew members clinging to the hull, still afloat.

The rescued men, both Mexican nationals, were taken to the Ensenada naval pier, where Semar medical personnel confirmed they were in good health. (Eduardo Murillo)
