Mexico City, September 19. The PRI's national leadership has allowed its party's senators to vote freely on the duration of the armed forces' presence in public security tasks throughout the country.

Alejandro Moreno Cárdenas, president of the Institutional Revolutionary Party, also responded to the leaders of the PAN and PRD, who now indicate they will not have any dealings with him: “ It's a false debate . The country and its people, who are the ones who suffer the ravages of insecurity, come first, and then the political agendas. I respect the leaders of both parties, and sometimes I don't share their opinions .”

He also added that coalition negotiations are ongoing, that working groups are underway, and that in Coahuila and the State of Mexico, the leaders of the three parties are maintaining contacts to compete for both governorships . "We know that a coalition of the three parties is powerful, and together we have a chance to win. Let it be clear that the PRI is a promoter of electoral alliances," he replied.
