The Taiwan Coast Guard is investigating a collision between a Taiwanese navy warship and a Chinese fishing boat

 








The Taiwan Navy Fleet Command announced on the 27th that the Zhonghe warship collided with the Chinese fishing vessel "Minlianyu 61756" at 00:38 on the morning of the 27th, approximately 45 nautical miles (9 nautical miles outside restricted waters) off the coast of Taichung Harbor. No personnel on either side were injured, and the damage to the vessels does not affect navigation safety.  The Taiwan Navy Fleet Command further stated that after the maritime incident occurred, it immediately requested the Coast Guard Administration's freshwater vessel and PP-10080 boat to the scene to assist in handling the situation and collecting evidence. It will subsequently complete the investigation in accordance with relevant regulations and clarify the responsibility.
