High enthusiasm was evident at the Indonesian launch of the iPhone 17, held by Digimap, an Apple Premium Partner, at Grand Indonesia, Jakarta, on Friday. The latest series includes the iPhone 17, iPhone 17 Pro, iPhone 17 Pro Max, and iPhone Air.
General Manager of Marketing for Apple Business at PT MAP Zona Adiperkasa, Farah Fausa Winarsih, said that this year's launch was the fastest compared to the previous series, with the number of interested parties increasing significantly.
"The first pre-order sold out in a matter of minutes. Many customers came early in the morning to ensure they got a unit," he said.
According to Farah, the iPhone 17 Pro and Pro Max variants are the most sought-after models, followed by the iPhone Air, which is a new series this year.
"In terms of features, the improvements are very noticeable. Many people are also looking for larger capacity variants like 1 terabyte and 2 terabytes," he said.

Farah added that cosmic orange is the main identity of this year's campaign, but silver is also in demand.
"Not everyone chooses hero colors. Some people also look for classic colors like silver," he said.
At the launch, Digimap also collaborated with designer Didiet Maulana to present exclusive merchandise in the form of ikat-patterned iPhone pouches and special clothing for the sales team.
This collaboration is an effort to highlight local works during the momentum of global product launches.
In addition to introducing new devices, Digimap is also offering an eSIM migration service at several key outlets in partnership with mobile operators such as Telkomsel, XL, and Indosat. This service makes it easy for customers to switch from a physical SIM card to an eSIM directly at the point of sale.
The iPhone 17 launch in Indonesia this year was one of the fastest compared to other countries in Southeast Asia. Digimap noted that initial sales of this latest series surpassed previous records, reflecting the high public interest in Apple's latest product.
