The ministry said in its daily statistical report that hospitals in the sector received three martyrs (including two who were pulled from under the rubble) in the past twenty-four hours, in addition to two injuries.
She noted that a number of victims are still under the rubble and in the streets, with ambulance and civil defense crews unable to reach them due to the continued violations by the Israeli occupation army.
The ministry added that since the ceasefire agreement began on October 11, 2025, the number of martyrs has reached 241, and the number of injuries is 609, while 513 bodies have been recovered.
She confirmed that the total toll of the aggression since October 7, 2023 has reached 68,875 martyrs and 170,679 wounded, warning that the numbers are likely to rise as a number of martyrs and missing persons remain under the rubble.
In a related context, Nasser Hospital in Khan Younis, in the southern Gaza Strip, announced that it had received the bodies of 15 Palestinian martyrs released by Israel, bringing the total number of bodies received as part of the first phase of the ceasefire agreement with Hamas to 285.
The handover of the bodies comes as part of the first phase of the ceasefire agreement in effect since October 10, which includes an exchange of prisoners and bodies between Israel and Hamas, mediated by Egypt, Qatar and Turkey and under American supervision.
The hospital said in a statement that the bodies arrived via the International Committee of the Red Cross, but did not specify whether they bore known names or showed signs of torture.
The Ministry of Health in Gaza had previously stated that the bodies handed over by Israel bear clear signs of torture, including beatings, handcuffing, blindfolding, facial disfigurement, and often without names or official documentation.
Palestinian families are trying to identify their relatives through physical features or clothing, in the absence of genetic testing laboratories due to the Israeli blockade and the destruction of the health infrastructure in Gaza.
According to the Palestinian National Campaign to Retrieve the Bodies of Martyrs and Reveal the Fate of the Missing (non-governmental), prior to the ceasefire agreement, Israel was holding 735 Palestinian bodies in what are known as "cemeteries of numbers".
The campaign also referred to a report by the Hebrew newspaper Haaretz on July 16, which revealed that the Israeli occupation army is holding about 1,500 bodies of Palestinians from Gaza in the infamous “Sde Teiman” camp, which has recently been linked to scandals of torture and serious violations against Palestinian prisoners.
