The Israeli Ministry of Defense said in a statement: "The joint Israeli-Indian working group held its annual strategic meeting (in Tel Aviv) chaired by the Director General of the Ministry of Defense, Major General (Res.) Amir Baram, and the Director General of the Indian Ministry of Defense, Rajesh Kumar Singh."
She continued: "During the meeting, the two directors general signed a memorandum of understanding to enhance security, industrial and technological cooperation between the two countries."
During the visit, the Indian delegation met with Israeli Defense Minister Yisrael Katz, according to the same source.
The statement said: “In addition, a special panel discussion was held with the participation of the executives of the largest defense industry companies, during which innovative and pioneering Israeli technologies were presented, as well as ideas and projects to deepen the defense industry partnership between the defense industries in Israel and India.”
According to the statement, Baram said: "This strategic dialogue with India is taking place at a critical stage for both countries. Our strategic partnership is based on deep mutual trust and shared security interests."
He continued: "We consider India a first-rate strategic partner, and we are determined to continue deepening cooperation in the areas of security, technology and industry."
Last September, India and Israel signed a series of economic agreements following a visit to India by the latter's Finance Minister, Bezalel Smotrich, and senior ministry officials.
