England national team captain Harry Kane said the introduction of Bukayo Saka and Marcus Rashford in the second half had a positive impact on his squad's 2-0 victory over Albania, early Monday morning WIB.
"If you want to go far in a competition, you need all your teammates," Kane said, as quoted from the England national team website on Monday.
When meeting Albania in the final match of Group K of the 2026 World Cup European Qualifiers at the Kombetare Arena Stadium, Tirana, Saka came on in the 62nd minute to replace Eberechi Eze, while Rashford came on in the 75th minute to replace Jarrod Bowen.
Bukayo Saka and Marcus Rashford played a role in Kane's two goals against Albania, despite starting on the bench.
England's opening goal, scored by Kane (74'), started from Saka's corner kick which was changed direction after hitting an opposing player.
