The Ministry of Communication and Digital has reaffirmed its commitment to educating the public by providing internet access for the People's School program.
The Director General of Public Communication and Media (KPM Kemkomdigi) Fifi Aleyda Yahya said that providing internet networks for public schools is part of President Prabowo Subianto's priority program to improve the quality of national education.
"We remain committed to ensuring the success of teaching and learning activities in public schools by providing good internet access. This effort is expected to break the cycle of poverty by providing quality education for all levels of society," Fifi said in Yogyakarta on Thursday.
Fifi emphasized that digital infrastructure support is a crucial foundation to ensure that the learning process is no longer hampered by technological limitations.
According to him, this step is part of the effort to realize equal education and digital transformation throughout Indonesia.
This is also in line with Presidential Instruction Number 8 of 2025 concerning Optimizing the Implementation of Poverty Alleviation and Elimination of Extreme Poverty, where the successful implementation of People's Schools is not only the task of the Ministry of Social Affairs.
