The government affirms its commitment to empowering women in the digital world.

The government, through the Ministry of Communication and Digital , has reaffirmed its commitment to continuing to empower women in the digital technology sector.

This was conveyed by the Director General of Public Communication and Media (KPM Kemkomdigi) Fifi Aleyda Yahya at the "She Connects: Women, Inspiration, and Digital Innovation" event held in Yogyakarta, Thursday (6/11).

In her remarks, Fifi said that the digital world does not need to be seen as something complicated, because it actually opens up many opportunities for women to work and contribute.

"God willing, this digital world will increasingly open doors for women to learn, socialize, network, create, and create change. We are not just users, but also creators of opportunities," said Fifi.

On this occasion, Director General Fifi highlighted the role of women in maintaining a healthy digital ecosystem within the family and community.

According to him, women have an important role in preventing the spread of fake news and hate speech on social media.

"If someone sends unclear news in a family group, we can be a reminder. Women can be guardians of a safe digital space," she said.
