BI: Net foreign capital inflows reached Rp14.08 trillion in the first week of December

  Bank Indonesia (BI) recorded net foreign capital inflows into the Indonesian financial market reaching Rp14.08 trillion in the first week of this month, namely the transaction period from December 1-4, 2025.

In a statement  BI Communications Department Executive Director Ramdan Denny Prakoso detailed that the figure consisted of net foreign capital inflows into the stock market, Government Securities (SBN), and Bank Indonesia Rupiah Securities (SRBI) of Rp2.11 trillion, Rp1.06 trillion, and Rp10.92 trillion, respectively.

From the beginning of this year until December 4, 2025, net foreign capital outflows from the stock market, SBN, and SRBI amounted to Rp27.93 trillion, Rp2.79 trillion, and Rp122.14 trillion, respectively.

Indonesia's 5-year investment risk premium ( credit default swaps /CDS) was recorded to have decreased from 72.45 basis points (bps) as of November 28, 2025, to 71.18 bps as of December 4, 2025.

The rupiah exchange rate opened stable at Rp16,640 per United States (US) dollar on Friday (5/12), compared to the position at the close of trading on Thursday (4/12).

Meanwhile, the US dollar index (DXY) was recorded as weakening to the level of 98.99 at the end of trading on Thursday (4/12).

The DXY is an index that shows the movement of the US dollar against six other major currencies, namely the euro, Japanese yen, British pound, Canadian dollar, Swedish krona, and Swiss franc.

The yield on 10-year SBN was stable at 6.18 percent on Friday (5/12) compared to Thursday (4/12).

Meanwhile, the yield on the 10-year US Treasury Note rose to 4.098 percent at the close of trading on Thursday (4/12).

BI also continues to strengthen coordination with the government and relevant authorities and optimize its policy mix strategy to support Indonesia's external economic resilience.
