The Coastal, Marine and Border Consortium of Muhammadiyah Aisyiyah Higher Education (KPKP PTMA) is collaborating with the Directorate General of Marine Management of the Ministry of Maritime Affairs and Fisheries (DJPK KKP) to improve the welfare of coastal communities through the development of salt businesses.
In an official statement in Jakarta on Friday, Endang Rudiatin, Head of the KPKP PTMA, expressed his hope that the collaboration with the DJPK would accelerate the downstreaming agenda so that fishermen could be more independent in managing their coastal and marine assets.
"Most importantly, God willing, we will strive to ensure that small-scale salt businesses can emerge every year," he said.
The cooperation agreement is a follow-up to the memorandum of understanding between Muhammadiyah and the Ministry of Marine Affairs and Fisheries signed in March 2025.
