BWF World Tour Finals 2025: An Se-young wins again

  South Korean women's singles badminton player An Se-young has become the champion again after winning a tight match that lasted 1 hour and 36 minutes against host China's representative, Wang Zhi, at the 2025 BWF World Tour Finals.

Playing at the Hangzhou Olympic Sports Center Gymnasium, China, Sunday, An Se-young defeated Wang Zhi with a score of 21-13, 18-21, 21-10.

This is the 11th victory for the world number one women's singles player after previously collecting 10 championship titles this year, namely at the Sathio Group Australian Open, Yonex French Open, Victor Denmark Open, Li-Ning China Masters, Daihatsu Japan Open, Kapal Api Indonesia Open, Yonex All England Open, Orleans Masters, Yonex-Sunrise India Open, and Petronas Malaysia Open.

In this tournament, the 23-year-old badminton player defeated an Indonesian representative once, Putri Kusuma Wardani, in the first round with a score of 21-16, 8-21, 21-8.

Still from South Korea, the men's doubles pair Kim Wong Ho/Seo Seung Jae, who climbed to the top of the podium with An Se Young, defeated the host's representatives Liang Wei Keng/Wang Chang with a score of 21-18, 21-14.

The world's number one men's doubles pair, on their way to victory at the BWF World Tour Finals, defeated Indonesia's Sabar Karyaman Gutama and Reza Pahlevi. Sabar and Reza, the world's number 10 pair, lost to Kim and Seo in the semifinals, 9-21, 11-21.
