  Ten Indonesian representatives will compete in the 2026 Malaysia Open, a Super 1000-level tournament that will open the BWF World Tour next season.

The official BWF website on Sunday noted that Indonesia has representatives in allsectors, with a composition that combines elite players, young athletes, and non-national training pairs in the event that will take place at the Axiata Arena, Kuala Lumpur, on January 6–11.

Jonatan Christie, the champion of three BWF tournaments at Super 500 level or above last season, and 2025 SEA Games gold medalist Thailand Alwi Farhan represent Indonesia in the men's singles event.

Meanwhile, in the women's singles sector, there are the 2024 Paris Olympics bronze medalist Gregoria Mariska Tunjung and the third-place finisher at the BWF Women's World Championships, Kusuma Wardani.
