Morocco's victory over Comoros was the result of 1.5 years of preparation.

  Moroccan national team coach Walid Regragui said his squad's 2-0 victory over Comoros in the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations Group A match at Prince Moulay Abdellah Stadium, Rabat, Morocco, early Monday morning WIB, was the result of 1.5 years of preparation.

"We put a lot of pressure on ourselves," said Walid Regragui, quoted from the official website of the Confederation of African Football (CAF).

According to him, Morocco, which is hosting the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations, is pleased with the positive results.

However, he confirmed that the three points weren't easily earned. Regragui said the match had been a bad start for Morocco, following Soufiane Rahimi's missed penalty in the 11th minute and Romain Saiss's injury.
