Indonesian sports equipment brand Mills is collaborating with Shin Tae-yong (STY) Academy to build a grassroots youth football foundation.
Through this partnership, MILLS provides equipment for up to one year in advance from elite teams, academies, to official kits to support the professional development of young players from an early stage.
"MILLS is always ready to be present and support the creation of a more professional, sustainable, and high-standard grassroots youth football development ecosystem, while also becoming the foundation for the birth of future Indonesian football talents," said Mills Sales and Marketing Director Stevendy Tjen, quoted from a written statement.
"I warmly welcome the collaboration with MILLS, which already has an excellent reputation in the Indonesian sports industry, with the hope that it can mutually have a positive impact on STY Academy, and of course Indonesian football," said Shin Tae-yong.
Both Mills and STY are names that are very close to Indonesian football.
Mills was the official apparel sponsor of the Indonesian national team from 2020 to 2024, before being replaced by Erspo.
Meanwhile, STY is the former coach of the Indonesian national team, from 2019 to 2025. Under STY's leadership, the Indonesian national team qualified for the final round of the 2023 U20 Asian Cup, qualified for the round of 16 of the 2023 Asian Cup, and qualified for the third round of the 2026 World Cup qualifying in the Asian zone.
