Indonesian women's table tennis athlete Sella Dwi Radayana was not lucky enough to win the gold medal in the women's singles TT10 (standing) class at the 2025 ASEAN Para Games Thailand at Korat Hall, Central Korat, Nakhon Ratchasima, Friday.
The woman who is usually a gold miner for Indonesia lost 2-3 (6-11, 9-11, 11-9, 13-11, 3-11) against Malaysian representative Wong Sze Gloria Gracia.
"The game was evenly matched, but when the score was so close, my mental fortitude was really tested against myself," Sella told after the match.
He explained that he had to accept the defeat with good sportsmanship, even though his initial goal was to win gold in that event.
The woman from East Kalimantan initially lost in the first two games.
However, he managed to bounce back to equalize the score. With complete composure, he scored point after point, forcing his opponent to a fifth game.
