A recent scientific study has revealed an effective method that helps get rid of recurrent panic attacks without the need to use medication.

 The study included 102 patients diagnosed with panic disorder. The researchers divided the participants into two groups, an for 12 weeks they monitored the patients’ psychological state after subjecting them to two treatment methods: The first group underwent treatment based on muscle relaxation exercises, and the second group underwent an interval training program that included intense running.

The results showed that participants who engaged in intensive exercise experienced a faster and greater reduction in the severity of panic, anxiety, and depression symptoms, and suffered from fewer panic attacks with milder symptoms. This positive effect lasted for at least six months after the start of the study.

According to the researchers, short, intense exercise can be considered a "natural" way to alleviate the physical sensations that affect those suffering from panic disorders, such as heart palpitations, shortness of breath, and sweating. This method is also easy, inexpensive, and more appealing to patients compared to traditional relaxation exercises, and practicing it regularly may achieve sustainable and tangible results for those suffering from panic attacks.
