To commemorate World Safer Internet Day, technology company Meta is sharing steps parents can take to protect teenagers in the digital space.
The social media platform provider, Facebook and Instagram, stated that efforts to protect teenagers online do not have to involve checking the entire content of their conversations or restricting excessive use.
In a press release on Friday, Meta emphasized the importance of open communication and utilizing the platform's built-in security features to keep teens safe in the digital space.
"Your teen's social media activities now come with built-in protections, from who can contact them, what content they see, to how they spend their time on their devices and the internet," Meta said.
