Perbasi-IBL held a charity auction to renovate a basketball court in Aceh.
The Central Executive Board of the All-Indonesia Basketball Association (DPP Perbasi) together with the Indonesian Basketball League (IBL) and the National Team Body held a charity auction to raise funds for the renovation of basketball courts in Aceh Tamiang which were affected by natural disasters.

This humanitarian initiative aims to restore damaged sports facilities so that they can be used again as a means of developing young athletes in the Veranda of Mecca area.

The Head of the Perbasi Cares Task Force, Jeremy Imanuel Santoso, explained that this auction was held specifically to help Perbasi Aceh, which was experiencing a disaster.

"We hope that through this activity, the Indonesian basketball community can work together to help renovate the court in Aceh Tamiang so that it can be used again for sports activities and youth player development," said Jeremy.

This charity auction is an integral part of the "Perbasi Cares" program, demonstrating the national basketball community's solidarity with those in need. All funds raised will be allocated to repairing the court structure to ensure it meets standards for both the community and young athletes in Aceh Tamiang.

The committee has prepared a variety of high-value basketball memorabilia to be offered to the public during the auction. Some of the items up for auction include official jerseys from IBL clubs, basketballs, and shoes once worn by professional IBL players.

Perbasi and IBL are targeting basketball fans and collectors to actively participate in this social activity as a form of tangible support. Public participation is considered crucial in accelerating the recovery of sports infrastructure in disaster-affected areas.

IBL President Director Junas Miradiarsyah expressed his support for this humanitarian initiative, citing the strong values of togetherness in basketball, which promote helping others. He believes that basketball is more than just a game on the court, but also a unifying tool for humanitarian action.

"We warmly welcome this initiative, as basketball isn't just about the game; it's also about uniting for humanity. We hope this charity auction can have a real impact on our brothers and sisters in Aceh," said Junas.
