The Bengawan Knights released Deon Thompson in the second half of the 2026 season.
The Bengawan Solo Knights have again made changes to their foreign roster in the second half of the IBL regular season by releasing Deon Thompson.

The IBL website stated on Thursday that the team announced the decision after the Knights' performance throughout the first half of the regular season had not met expectations and they were still struggling at the bottom of the standings.

In the 10 matches they have played, the team has only won three and lost seven.

Thompson is the second foreign player released by the Knights in a short time.

Previously, the Solo-based club had already ended its collaboration with Rashad Vaughn.

After releasing Vaughn, the Knights immediately brought in Rayvonte Rice on February 24. However, the changes in the foreign player composition didn't stop there.

Entering the eighth week of the competition, the management of the club whose home is Sritex Arena, Solo, stopped working with Thompson.

The player, who also plays for the Ivory Coast national basketball team, has not been able to make an optimal contribution.
