Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta has confirmed that Bukayo Saka and Jurrien Timber will miss the first leg of their Champions League quarter-final against Sporting.
"Hopefully they can play this weekend if everything goes well," Arteta said in a pre-match press conference, as quoted by UEFA's website.
The absence of these two players was already suspected after they were not seen during team training. However, Arsenal still has several key players available for selection.
Arteta confirmed that Gabriel, Declan Rice, and Leandro Trossard are fit and ready to face Sporting.
