The General Chairperson of the Central Board of the Indonesian Rock Climbing Federation Yenny Wahid and two athletes in the sport, namely Veddriq Leonardo and Desak Made Rita Kusuma Dewi received awards from the Indonesian National Sports Committee.
Yenny received an award in the Outstanding Sports Branch Leader category thanks to her dedication to continuously developing athletes.
"This award is the result of extraordinary collective hard work, so I extend my highest appreciation to all FPTI Central Executive Boards, provincial, district/city, and club levels throughout Indonesia, as they are the true spearheads of achievement," said Yenny in response to the award given on the sidelines of the 2026 KONI Extraordinary National Sports Conference.
KONI gave the award because it assessed that PP FPTI under Yenny's leadership was capable of achieving global success, with the peak achievement of a gold medal at the 2024 Paris Olympics.
Yenny added that Indonesia's success in producing world-class athletes is inseparable from the consistency of coaching that has been carried out from the grassroots level in various regions.
