Media personality Ahmed Shobeir revealed the latest developments regarding the movements of the Al-Ahly club's board of directors, confirming that the Red Castle is continuing its negotiations to conclude a new deal at the present time from the Egyptian League.

Shobeir said in his radio program: "Al-Ahly Club is intensifying its negotiations with Enppi Club in order to sign the petroleum team's midfielder, Ali Mahmoud."

He continued: "I had previously explained that Al-Ahly has only opened the door to negotiations regarding Ali Mahmoud up to this moment, as all discussions and negotiations have focused on bringing the player into the ranks of the Red Castle at the present time."

He concluded: “Regarding Enppi’s position, the club is very open to the idea of selling the player, but as is well known, Ayman El Shere’i, the club’s president, has extensive experience in managing such negotiations and is always keen to achieve the maximum possible benefit for his club. He is one of the most prominent officials who succeed in achieving good gains for their clubs during transfer deals.”

The management of Al-Ahly Club, headed by Mahmoud Al-Khatib, had decided to contract with the Moroccan coach Hussein Ammouta to lead the first team during the coming period, succeeding the Dane Jaas Torup, who left his position after the decline in results during the last season.
