Aprilia does not appeal against Bezzechi's racing ban

The Aprilia Racing team confirmed that it will not file a further appeal against the racing ban received by its rider Marco Bezzecchi.

Previously, The Bezz, his nickname, received a racing ban after he was involved in an incident with a marshal during the Czech MotoGP Sprint Race session which took place at the Masryk Circuit, Brno, Saturday evening WIB.

"The penalty has been accepted and the team (Aprilia) will not take any further steps in appealing to the CAI," MotoGP wrote on Sunday.

Aprilia has filed an appeal with the FIM MotoGP Stewards regarding the penalty received by the Italian racer.

However, the appeal was still rejected by the FIM MotoGP Stewards and Bezzecchi was declared to have to accept a penalty.

Aprilia could have appealed to the CAI as a last resort to avoid Bezzecchi receiving a penalty, but the Noale factory team did not take this step.

This means Bezzecchi will definitely be absent from the main Czech MotoGP race which will take place.
