PT Kereta Api Indonesia Operational Area 1 has prepared 629,649 seats for long-distance trains during the school holidays from June 20 to July 5, 2026.
"During this school holiday period, KAI Daop 1 ensures the readiness of train travel, both in terms of facilities, services, and operations," said KAI Daop 1 Public Relations Manager, Franoto Wibowo.
During the period from June 20 to July 5, 2026, long-distance train trips in the Daop 1 Jakarta area consist of 69 regular trains per day, with details of 35 trains from Gambir Station and 34 trains from Pasar Senen Station.
In addition, KAI also operates eight additional long-distance trains from Gambir Station, namely the Purwojaya train on the Gambir-Purwokerto route for two trips, the Batavia train on the Gambir-Solo Balapan route, and the Argo Parahyangan train on the Gambir-Bandung route.
Then, there are two additional trains on the Gambir-Yogyakarta route, the Cirebon Optional Train on the Gambir-Cirebon route, and the Argo Anjasmoro Train on the Gambir-Surabaya Pasarturi route.
As of today, 258,801 tickets have been booked, bringing the occupancy rate to 41 percent.
"This ticket sales data is still dynamic and will continue to fluctuate as ticket orders continue to be placed," Franoto said.
Meanwhile, regarding the holiday discount ticket program specifically for commercial Economy class, during the period of June 20 to July 5, 2026, the number of tickets sold reached 139,466 tickets.
Some of the customers' favorite destinations during the school holidays include Yogyakarta, Surabaya, Semarang, Purwokerto, Bandung, and Jember.
For local train services, KAI Operational Area 1 has also prepared seating capacity for the period from June 20 to July 5, 2026. The Pangrango local train is prepared with a capacity of 58,880 seats, with a total provisional reservation of 23,802 tickets.
